I completed my Diploma in Oncology Massage with Middlesex School of Complementary Medicine. Many cancer patients, and even people who have been in remission for years, are told that they cannot receive massage when they approach spas and salons. In fact, massage and other complementary therapies are increasingly offered as part of NHS cancer care and can be very helpful for patients undergoing treatment. Oncology Massage does not treat cancer but can help to alleviate some of the side-effects of treatment and the stress that comes with a cancer diagnosis. Massage can help with skin-problems, aches and pains, nausea, constipation, loss of appetite, fatigue, insomnia and helps to promote effective healing after surgery and boost general well-being and positivity.
Each treatment is tailored to your needs on that day.
I am happy to liaise with your Consultant/Macmillan Nurse.
